Hundreds of barangay officials from Upi and Datu Blah Sinsuat in Maguindanao del Norte took their oath as new members of the Bangsamoro Federalist Party (BFP) this Monday, July 20.
According to the BFP, the new members include two mayors, two vice mayors, 20 municipal councilors, 37 barangay chairpersons, and 340 barangay councilors from the two municipalities.
The mass oath-taking was led by Bangsamoro Parliament Member Dr. Tomanda Antok and was attended by party officials and supporters.
In his message, Antok encouraged the new members to promote unity, discipline, and active participation in the party’s programs and activities.
Party leaders also urged the members to support peaceful, orderly, and credible elections during the first Bangsamoro Parliamentary Elections in September.
The mass oath-taking is part of the BFP’s continuing efforts to strengthen its organization ahead of the upcoming BARMM parliamentary elections.
